Every once in a while, we step outside our normal client work and create something simply because we believe the story is worth telling.
These original songs grew out of one of those projects. After receiving requests from people who wanted copies of the music, we decided to make both songs available here as free downloads.
What Started as a Personal Tribute Became Something Much Bigger
These songs were never originally intended as commercial releases. They grew out of a personal creative project honoring Dolly Parton and the extraordinary legacy she created through music, entertainment, education, opportunity and generosity.
The Light She Left Behind became the foundation for a full-length cinematic tribute, while Her Light Lives On became a shorter companion piece centered on the idea that a meaningful life continues through the people it inspires.
The response to the project reached far beyond anything we anticipated, and viewers began asking where they could get copies of the music.
So instead of selling the songs or putting them behind an email signup, we’re making both tracks available here to listen to and download free.

The Light She Left Behind tells the larger story behind the tribute — from humble Tennessee roots and an extraordinary career to the children, families, employees and communities touched along the way.
The song became the emotional backbone of the full cinematic film, helping carry the story from remembrance and loss to legacy, hope and continuation.
Her Light Lives On
Her Light Lives On was created as a shorter, more intimate companion to the original full-length tribute.
Where The Light She Left Behind tells the broader story, this piece centers on one simple idea: a meaningful life does not end with the person who lived it. It continues in the people inspired, encouraged and helped along the way.
